Camper maker Big Bear Vans has posted a story on YouTube dedicated to the cheapest Mercedes-Benz Sprinter on sale today. Apparently, short wheelbase doesn’t mean it’s not a viable camper – quite on the contrary, based on the video.
Dubbed Santa Monica, the camper houses a pair of full-size beds arranged one on top of the other. The topmost one is lowered and raised automatically thanks to an electric drive, and you can get both beds out of your way if you need a dining area, for example.
A small table mounted on a rotating support resides between the two front seats. There is also a fairly roomy kitchen on board with a big sink, an induction stove and a large kitchen top to work on. A fridge sits next to the stove, and there is a full-fledged bathroom with a WC on the opposite side.
As befits any self-respecting camper, Santa Monica has fresh and used water tanks on board, solar panels on the roof, some power storage and a heating system for those colder days out in the wild.
