Car Tuning

Krug Expedition and Arctic Trucks team up on a motorhome for avid travelers

Austria-based Krug Expedition has joined forces with the off-road tuning specialists over at Arctic Trucks to build a versatile and powerful home on wheels for the adventurous among us.

Called the Bedrock XT2, it runs on a heavily modified Ford F-550 chassis. There is an added third axle for better load distribution and new 20-inch wrapped in 43-inch Continental tires. The ground clearance is only marginally higher than stock, though, because keeping the center of gravity as low as possible is a more important priority in a camper such as this one.

The living room comprises a king-size bed, a kitchen and a dining area that you can transform into another bedroom. There are TVs on the walls, solar panels on the roof, a 23-kWh battery in the cabin and a diesel heater for the cold season. Many things are listed as options, including a Starlink Internet dish, an air conditioner and a pull-out kitchen set for cooking out in the open.

Prices start from U.S. $690,000. Krug Expedition is no stranger to off-roading, itself, often embarking on journeys meant to test their own vehicles (see video).
