Back in 2018, Nissan celebrated 50 years of its iconic GT-R sports car by teaming up with Italdesign on a highly exclusive limited edition. Named GT-R50, it came out in 50 examples sporting new bodywork and a powerful engine. Now, one of these cars is heading to an auction with zero on the odometer.
This particular sports car was made last year, coated in a Liquid Silver paint with red accents (+€25,000) and optioned with a hydraulic-powered rear wing (+€35,000). The interior was trimmed with black leather and Alcantara and decorated with carbon fiber.
Italdesign produced the body largely by hand and turbocharged the stock 3.8-liter V6 from its initial 600 to 720 PS (from 592 to 710 hp; from 441 to 530 kW, respectively). A six-speed DCT was tasked with delivering the momentum to the wheels.
Elsewhere, the exotic features adaptive suspension, Brembo brakes and 21-inch wheels.
The seller did not set an asking price, but the general expectation is in the seven-digit territory. When unveiling a pre-production sample three years ago, the manufacturer said the car would start from €990,000 before options.
