This Nissan GT-R by ItalDesign could sell for less than its original price

One of the rarest Nissan GT-R supercars with delivery mileage on the odometer will go under the hammer later this month expected to fetch from €950,000 to €1,150,000. It is one of just 18 GT-R50 units built by ItalDesign two years ago for €1,050,000.

The Italian coachbuilder wanted to celebrate the iconic GT-R badge turning 50 years old, so it came up with a unique exterior for the car. The front and the rear have both been overhauled with new lighting, a roof chopped by 54 mm (2.1 inches), an engine boost and other costly modifications.

The car has kept its original 3.8-liter V6, but received new turbochargers, an improved fuel system and optimized pistons. As a result, its output rose to 720 PS (710 hp / 530 kw) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque. A six-speed DCT was entrusted with sending the momentum to all four wheels.

The example on sale was number 11 out of the 18 units produced. It was optioned with a Liquid Silver paint job and a hydraulic rear wing, but the person who ordered it never took delivery. The car had sat in a climate-controlled garage with just 192 km (119 miles) of post-test mileage on it and had never been commissioned for road use.
