Pagani’s final Huayra BC goes on sale

RM Sotheby’s is holding a private auction right now dedicated to the 40th and last produced Pagani Huayra BC Roadster known under the name “Quaranta”. It has fewer than 120 km (75 miles) on the odometer and may fetch $5.7–6 million, according to estimates.

The Pagani Huayra was the Italian automaker’s second supercar after the Zonda. It debuted in 2011 and received a particularly powerful and lightweight modification called the BC Coupe five years later. The Roadster variant went on sale three years after that – in 2019.

Aside from a particularly light body design, the supercar packs a 6.0-liter Mercedes-AMG V12 engine driven by twin turbos to 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) and 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) of torque. A seven-speed sequential gearbox routes the power to the wheels. With a curb weight of 1,250 kilos (2,755 pounds), the Roadster BC weighs 30 kg (66 lbs) less than its predecessor does. It also produces up to 500 kg (1,102 lbs) of downforce moving at 250 km/h (155 mph).

Only 40 examples were produced. The Quaranta was distinguished by a unique two-tone paintjob, an exclusive interior trim scheme and numerous ornaments in the form of the number 40 and the Italian flag. Despite such a generous homage to its country of origin, it has actually belonged to a U.S. resident since the original sale in April 2022.
