At a private event in Atlanta (Georgia, USA), supercar manufacturer Porsche has revealed a restomodded version of the 15-year-old Carrera GT. A U.S.-based car collector submitted the vehicle for extensive restoration and customization.
Interestingly, the owner of the car ordered it painted an exclusive shade of green that the company used to offer with some of its cars in the 1970s – but never with the Carrera series.
Aside from the new paint, the car received a custom set of magnesium-alloy wheels sporting inner rims made with the addition of silver. The engineer team has also spent around 350 hours restoring the entire carbon bodywork of the vehicle, including the monocoque cabin. The interior has been re-trimmed with new premium materials.
Wrapping up the list of changes are numerous modifications to the drivetrain and chassis, bringing both back to their top condition.
A Porsche Carrera GT may cost as much as $1M on the used car market nowadays.
