SEMA-tuned Ram 1500 rocks a hat holder

Ram has joined forces with Mopar to design Dude Concept, a SEMA show truck with Ram 1500 underpinnings and an attitude. Lots of attitude.

The whole thing is styled after Dodge vehicles from the 1970s and features an actual hat holder in the middle of the dash. Half a century ago, the Dodge 100 Dude went on sale as a sportier, lifestyle version of the company’s main pickup truck model of that era. Its contemporary follower pays homage to it with a specially crafted body kit, 22-inch wheels and a cheerful green paint job with black accents.

Power for the prototype comes from a 5.7-liter V8, which takes advantage of improved intake and exhaust components. It delivers 400 PS (395 hp / 295 kW) and spits out the exhaust via side pipes, like in the good ol’ times.

The cabin makes use of body-matching Sublime Green upholstery and conceals a safe box in the center console.

No mention was made of any production prospects.
