Renault launches an entire line of merchandise inspired by the 5 E-Tech

Shortly before the sales launch of its Renault 5 EV, the French automaker has expanded its online store catalogue with a number of car-themed accessories. You can now choose from 71 products like streetwear, toys, sports inventory and the like, all inspired by the company’s electric hatchback.

There are assorted T-shirts, hoodies, socks, winter caps and other clothing items on sale right now with Renault 5 E-Tech emblems and images on them. €6 buys you a 1:64 scale model of the car. A fountain pen costs €8, €25 gets you a cup set, and €30 nets you an umbrella. There’s also a larger 1:43 scale model priced at €30. If you happen to be interested, you might as well consider getting a toy racetrack for it (€115).

On the more expensive side are a bicycle (€2,700), a scooter (€1,600), a safety helmet (€200), a skateboard (€285) and a surfboard (€3,000). There’s also a stainless-steel petanque ball set (€110), a portable cassette player (€180), a pedal-powered kid’s car (€295), and a football table (€4,200).

As for the electric car itself, it is 3.9 meters (12.8 ft.) long and starts from €25,000. You can choose from three e-motor options with 95, 122 and 150 PS (94, 120 and 148 hp; 70, 90 and 110 kW, respectively). There are also two battery sizes available: 40 and 52 kWh. Once released, the Renault 5 E-Tech will primarily compete against the likes of Citroen e-C3, Fiat 500e, MINI Cooper Electric, Peugeot e-208 and the upcoming Volkswagen ID.2 in Europe.
