A while after introducing the new Renault Kangoo in late 2020, the manufacturer came out with a conceptual RV conversion of it named the Hippie Caviar Hotel (see video). That van has been revisited and is now known as the Hippie Caviar Motel.
Renault says it will unveil the RV next month, complete with all interior goodies. In the meantime, these exterior photos are all we have. Like its predecessor, the new camper uses the Kangoo chassis and its 122-PS (120-hp / 90-kW) electric powertrain. The company claims it can cover up to 285 km (177 miles) on a charge and replenishes 170 km (105 miles) of range in 30 minutes of charging.
Equipment-wise, the new camper offers a folding sofa, storage niches, sports gear racks and eco-friendly materials all around. The rest of the details will be revealed in September.
It remains unclear whether Renault plans to actually produce the Kangoo Hotel and/or Motel.
