It’s Official: Toyota Land Cruiser 200 leaves United States

Rumors have been circulating since last fall that Toyota’s legendary Cruiser SUV may leave the market for good. It is now official that the current generation goes out of production after 2021.

According to the official press release, a new off-roader will come to replace the iconic model, building and improving upon the heritage of its predecessor. It will also be much more up-to-date and pack more premium options than before.

The current-gen Land Cruiser has stayed around unchanged for 13 years, so it is facing serious competition in the United States that will render it non-viable soon.
