2022 VW Polo GTI debuts with exterior, cabin and specs

When Volkswagen showed us the refreshed Polo lineup slightly over two months ago, it neglected to reveal the GTI version. Today, it has finally introduced the facelifted GTI.

You can tell the new model from the old one by its revised lighting (front and rear), red accents, dual tailpipes, radiator grille with integrated DRLs a-la Golf GTI, bi-color wheels, and mirrors and roof painted differently for contrast.

As expected, the cabin now houses a digital gauge cluster, a new HVAC panel, and a 9.2-inch infotainment system touchscreen.

Pop open the hood to reveal a 2.0-liter TSI engine rated at 207 PS (204 hp / 152 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Getting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) is a matter of 6.5 seconds.
