The $1,900 Tesla Cyberquad is an electric quad bike for kids aged 8+

Tesla has unveiled the Cyberquad, a production-ready quadricycle targeting adventurous children who don’t mind getting dirty on an off-road track.

The electric car manufacturer revealed the corresponding concept a few years ago simultaneously with the Cybertruck, but while the latter is still in development, the bike is already available to pre-order online starting from $1,900 USD before options.

Tesla’s lead designer Franz von Holzhausen posted a promo video to give us an idea what the Cyberquad is like to drive. Apparently, it maxes out at just 10 miles per hour (16 km/h), but you can set an electronic limiter to 5 mph (10 km/h). The driving range averages at 15 miles (24 kilometers), but ultimately depends on the driver’s weight, the topography of the land, and the speed. Charging from zero to 100% takes five hours.

Buyers will receive their bikes in semi-assembled state and will need to mount the wheels on the half-axles and install shocks on the stainless-steel frame, among other things. This should explain the comparatively moderate price point. The company has no plans to ship the Cyberquad overseas at this point.

Other than that, the Cyberquad looks just like its prototype from two years ago and shares much in common with the Cybertruck. There is no information on whether an adult-sized version could be coming soon.
