The Levorg is more or less a wagon version of the Subaru Impreza. It has been around since 2014 and is now available in a new modification called Layback – but only in Japan for the time being.
The Layback targets moderate off-roading enthusiasts with 55 mm of additional ground clearance (for a total of 200 mm, or 7.8 inches). New plastic body trim all around makes the car 15 mm (0.6”) longer, 25 mm (1”) wider and 70 mm (2.7”) taller.
The wheels are sized 18 inches across and wear all-season tires by default. A peek under the hood cover reveals a 1.8-liter petrol turbo engine with 177 PS (175 hp / 130 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal.
On the tech side of things, the Levorg Layback benefits from the latest generation of EyeSight assist package, which now includes a wide-angle camera as standard. It also has a 12.3-inch digital dash, an 11.6-inch infotainment display and a Harman Kardon audio system.
