One of the last-produced Tesla Roadsters sells for $156k

A Tesla Roadster with fewer than 8,500 miles (13,700 km) to show for being 12 years old has just found a new owner in the USA for $156,420, a higher price than any maxed-out new Tesla on the market.

The model was based on the Lotus Elise underpinnings and produced in 2008–2012. Only around 2,400 units were made in total. This example belongs to a farewell series known as the 2.5 Sport, which received suspension upgrades compared to the stock car.

This particular example boasts a Radiant Red exterior with a brown leather cabin decorated with carbon fiber. The wheels are staggered, measuring 16 inches large at the front and 17-inch at the back. The brake use AP Racing and Brembo components, and the trim level is high enough for heated seats and an infotainment system with satellite navigation.

In May 2022, the Roadster underwent some maintenance at Gruber Motor Arizona. The Tesla specialist repaired the climate control unit and replaced some of the wiring. Tire pressure sensors and the reversing camera were also swapped out for new ones.
