Volkswagen has posted the first official images of its ID.7 wagon planned for production. Earlier reports had claimed it would be called ‘Variant’, but the official name is ‘Tourer’.
The prototype wears an autumn-inspired camo that still lets us catch a glimpse of its silhouette, wheels and taillights. According to the manufacturer, the drag ratio is a low 0.24.
It is also official now that the trunk size of the ID.7 Tourer varies between 545 and 1,714 liters depending on how many seats you fold down (19.25–60.5 cubic feet).
There is still no information regarding the powertrains, but we expect them to be the same as the ID.7 SUV (see video). In Europe, the latter ships with a single electric motor rated at 286 PS (282 hp / 210 kW). In China, an all-wheel-drive version is also available with 313 PS (309 hp / 230 kW) at its disposal.
