The Chinese automaker and IT giant have worked together to turn the entire windshield of a car into a heads-up display.

While previous implementations of this kind of HUD inevitably limited the projection area to just a part of the windshield, the new technology uses the whole glass. It also benefits from augmented reality, a modern UI and advanced AI assistance functions, Huawei says.

It isn’t just a tech demo, either. The upcoming Xpeng G7 SUV will have it listed under options.
