Aston Martin rolls out the DB11 Shadow Edition

The coupe and convertible series will be kept down to 300 units, and will come out priced at $222,600 in the USA, which is twenty grand above the standard DBX.

The tech stays unchanged. All novelty boils down to black 20-inch wheels, black pillars, chrome fender inserts, and aluminum sills. Crack open the door to discover a sports steering wheel, leather and Alcantara (all of the above finished in black to match the rest, naturally).

The Shadow Edition only ships with one engine: the Mercedes-AMG V8 with 510 hp (380 kW) at the output. The coupe needs 4 seconds to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) with this mill under the hood, while the convertible needs 0.1 s longer. Both max out at 300 km/h (186 mph).

On a side note, the standard Aston Martin DB11 has a higher spec named AMR, which packs a proprietary 5.2-liter V12 and 639 hp (477 kW).
