Rimac Nevera sets 23 new records

Croatia-based hypercar maker Rimac has reported its Nevera EV setting a whopping 23 world records among production cars in a day. All the attempts took place on the same test circuit in Germany.

The Nevera approached the track shod in Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires from Michelin and packing four electric motors joining efforts for 1,914 PS (1,888 hp / 1,408 kW) and 2,360 Nm (1,741 lb-ft) of torque. The measurements were performed by two independent companies, but the automaker opted for publishing only those that proved (slightly) better.

The electric hypercar hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in 1.81 seconds (even faster than the manufacturer-rated 1.85 seconds). It needed just 30 meters to reach that kind of acceleration. It then proceeded to attain 300 km/h (186 mph) in 9.22 seconds, faster than the expected 9.3.

Most importantly, the Nevera managed to complete a 0-400-0 run in a record-fast 29.93 seconds. This means it accelerated from zero to 400 km/h (248 mph) and proceeded to brake from that acceleration back to zero in less than half a minute.
