Jaguar F-Pace gets Chequered Flag, 300 Sport special editions

The Jaguar F-Pace SUV family has gained two new members, titled the Chequered Flag and the 300 Sport. Both bring along refreshed exterior and interior design as well as new features.

The Chequered Flag edition is easy to recognize owing to its glossy-black radiator grille, a sporty-looking rear bumper, side air intakes, roof railings, and custom door moldings. It ships in three paints, including the new Eiger Grey tint along with the old Santorini Black and Yulong White.

The interior of the car houses a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, a Touch Pro infotainment system with satellite navigation, a powerful audio system, seats clad in perforated genuine leather (the front seats have five electronic adjustments), and a special plaque bringing attention to the special status of the vehicle.

The Jaguar F-Pace Chequered Flag ships with two 2.0-liter Ingenium engines. The gas-powered unit produces 250 hp / 186 kW and takes the car to 100 km/h (62 mph) in seven seconds flat. The diesel engine is available in two versions: 180 hp / 134 kW and 240 hp / 180 kW. The latter accelerates the car 0-100 in 7.2 seconds.

Moving on to the Jaguar F-Pace 300 Sport, the car also sports a large number of features to distinguish it from the main production version. Especially noticeable is a Dark Satin Grey paint covering the windows, side mirrors, radiator grille, and certain other elements. The grille and the tailgate bear “300 Sport” badges. Available colors include Santorini Black, Indus Silver, and Yulong White.

The car ships with a 2.0-liter turbo V4 rated at 300 hp / 224 kW and a 3.0-liter V6 diesel with the same power output. The former enables the SUV to conclude the standard 0-100 sprint in 6.1 seconds, while the latter manages the same in 6.4s.

The model comes with a digital dashboard, a Touch Pro multimedia system with SatNav support, a Meridian audio system, a Connect Pro feature enabling remote control over certain car functions, and front seats with seven power adjustments (nine if you pay extra). There are “300 Sport” inscriptions and yellow stitching throughout the cabin.

Options for both editions include adaptive cruise control, advanced suspension, and heated rear seats.

In other news, Jaguar announced a minor update of its standard F-Pace lineup. Starting today, all trims are compatible with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto straight off the factory.
