VW Golf Mk8 rides lower-than-stock days after launch

The eighth generation of Volkswagen’s best-selling compact hatchback is only beginning to ship, but H&R already offers a lowering spring kit for the model. And what a kit, at that!

The fixed-height spring set costs €355 including taxes and drops the Mk8 Golf by a whopping 45 millimeters (1.8 inches) on both axles. A bit extreme? Perhaps for some, but consider the handling and acceleration improvements, as well as much better cornering performance.

Only Golfs with multi-link rear suspension and adaptive shocks are eligible for the upgrade, and the R-Line is not supported yet.
