2021 Mercedes-AMG E 63 facelift spotted at the ‘Ring

Car spotters have confirmed that the top spec of the new Mercedes E-Class is well underway to its launch. Watch it cruise along the Nürburgring raceway with barely any camo on.

Design-wise, the test car looks as mundane as ever, so the drivetrain remains the only area where surprises could realistically be expected. The currently available model ships with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 rated up to 612 hp (456 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque in the top spec, the E 63 S.

Interior novelty should come in the form of an up-to-date MBUX infotainment system, plenty of electronic aids, dual 12.3-inch displays, and an assortment of other E-Class specific features.

The premiere date of the Mercedes-AMG E 63 remains to be announced. On May 27, the company will reveal the facelifted E-Class coupe and convertible (non-AMG).
