Mulliner tackles the Bentley Continental GT Coupe

Bentley Mulliner has prepared an ultra-deluxe take on the Continental GT coupe for the Salon Privé show in Blenheim Palace coming up on next Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

The masterfully executed car sports a Double Diamond grille finished in silver, front fender louvers, unique side mirror caps, illuminated sills and Mulliner badges throughout. It rides on 22-inch, nine-spoke wheels with the Bentley on the hubcap that maintains its upright position even when the car is driven.

The interior boasts a bi-color trim scheme that matches the body and comes adorned with Diamond in Diamond stitching on the seats, doors and front fascia. The project provides for a total of eight tri-color combinations in the cabin. Each diamond is composed of 712 handmade stitches, bringing the in-car stitch count to around 400,000. If you are wondering how long it took to carry out the interior makeover, the answer is “eighteen months”.

The center console also wears a rhombic pattern engraved with the help of actual diamond cutters. A mechanical watch sits in the middle next to the outline of the car and the signature of the tuner.

The exclusive edition will ship with two engines: W12 6.0 (635 PS / 467 kW, 900 Nm / 664 lb-ft) and V8 4.0 (550 PS / 404 kW, 770 Nm / 568 lb-ft). Both take advantage of eight-speed DCT and all-wheel drive. Bentley Dynamic Ride is also included to minimize side rolling.
