2nd-gen Lexus NX video ad leaks ahead of premiere

If you have been wondering what the body and cabin of the next-gen Lexus NX look like, wonder no further: this leaked video shows the SUV in its full glory.

While the technically identical Toyota RAV4 went through a major stylistic overhaul three years ago, the update to the NX model appears to keep its proportions and design signature intact. The lights are perhaps the single most changed feature: the DRLs now reside inside the main lights, while the brake lights have a thin LED strip connecting them.

The interior, on the other hand, appears seriously renewed, with a center display built into the dash panel, the door handles merged with the armrests, and the touchpad and analog clock gone for good.

The company plans to keep the NX 200 and the part-electric NX 350h models in the lineup, complementing them with a new NX 450+ PHEV. The latter spec may ship with the same powertrain as the RAV4 PHV, rated at 306 PS (302 hp / 225 kW).

The reveal date remains unknown, but it should obviously come soon.
