Honda no longer offers the Fit in most countries worldwide these days, having yielded those markets to cheaper or more modern local offerings. At the same time, China continues to get the compact hatchback: here’s the latest facelift version, which costs less than ever before.
It looks sportier on the whole with a protruding front bumper, a large central air intake and slim LED headlights. The body is dynamically shaped and 4,169 mm (162.9 inches) long with 2,530 mm (98.8 inches) of wheelbase. That’s only marginally longer than the pre-facelift version. Three new exterior colors are available, Honda says.
The interior stays largely the same, but the infotainment display now spans 10.1 inches from corner to corner. Based on the preliminary certification data, the 2026 Fit stays true to its 1.5-liter, 124-PS (122-hp / 91-kW) engine and variable transmission – no other options are listed.
Perhaps the most remarkably, the new model starts from a low 66,800 CNY ($9,585). That’s nearly 20,000 CNY ($2,870) below the old version. It looks like sales haven’t been going well, after all. In fact, the GAC-Honda joint enterprise makes a passing mention of the production plans being limited to just 3,000 units. No explanation is provided as to the reasons behind this decision. It is possible that the Fit is living on borrowed time in China as well.
