Mansory reshapes the G-Wagen into a luxury soft-top

The controversial tuner’s latest work seems to mix Jeep Wrangler aesthetics with that of the Landaulet.

The one-off convertible is known as the Speranza, which means “hope” in Italian. It wears a fairly sophisticated body kit atop a satin-white body adorned with forged carbon trims. Six LED strips inside the lower air intakes add to the aura of ostentatiousness.

The side view is dominated by 24-inch forged wheels, while the rear end provides a good look at a foldable soft top – not unlike that of the 2017 Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet. The interior does its best to follow the same theme with white and red leather wherever you look and more forged carbon décor.

If you’ve been following Mansory, you should know by now that the company seldom leaves the drivetrain intact. This G-Class isn’t an exception, either, It takes advantage of new, larger turbos and some exhaust upgrades to send 820 PS (809 hp / 603 kW) along with up to 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. This allows it to sprint from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in four seconds flat. As before, the top speed is capped at 250 km/h (155 mph).
