Video: 22-tonne Monstermax 2 versus the world

The creator of the Monstermax 2 claims it is the largest monster truck in existence, and far be it from us to argue. The cyclopean horror weighs in at 22.6 metric tons (just under 50,000 lbs) and packs 1,400 horsepower thanks to dual engines.

Responsible for bringing it upon this world is none other than the infamous @WhistlinDiesel, a YouTuber known for his irreverent attitude towards money and cars alike. He points out that the axles alone weigh around six metric tons (13,000 lbs) each. Wheels are 680 kg (1,500 lbs) apiece and come mounted on as many as three shock absorbers each, with 760 mm (25 inches) of travel.

Power comes from two 6.6-liter Duramax LBZ diesel eight-bangers jointly rated at 1,400 hp (1,420 hp / 1,045 kW). Both originate from military vehicles and require two 75-liter (20-gallon) fuel tanks to satisfy their appetites.

In the newest video, the Monstermax 2 participates in a series of tug-of-war contests, at first overpowering several dozen of people and then going up against multiple performance trucks at once.
