The Aston Martin of today evokes associations with grand touring vehicles – opulent, cozy and well suited for long journeys. However, things were markedly different back in the 1990s, and many tuners still remember those times.
The Aston Martin Vantage depicted here is hands down one of the most technologically sophisticated custom builds out there. It actually isn’t even a Vantage to begin with, but rather an older Virage model clad in a new body and kit. Its owner must have spent a fortune modding it like this, but now, only the pros stand a chance at seeing through its origins.
The powertrain is another absolute highlight. As a dedicated drag car, this stallion packs eye-watering 2,800 horsepower (2,088 kilowatts) under the hood. Actual acceleration times back up the insane numbers perfectly: the fiery Brit zaps past a quarter-mile strip in under seven seconds and needs a parachute to stop accelerating.
