It’s over at last: the long-suffering Audi industrial complex in Brussels, Belgium is set to cease all operation on February 28th, 2025.
According to an official statement released by Audi, the factory will be closed and around 3,000 people will be looking for new jobs. The all-electric SUV known as the Q8 e-tron will be out of production as soon as the assembly line stops at the end of the month.
Audi assures us that all employees will be paid benefits greatly exceeding the minimum compensation fees provided for by the Belgian law. Furthermore, those interested in getting a new occupation outside of the car industry will be offered free retraining courses.
