ABT Sportsline turned the mundane-looking Audi RS 5 coupe into the power-packed RS5-R back in early 2018, landing it with an engine and suspension upgrades, as well as a flashy body kit. A similar package is not available for the latest RS 5 as well, with some caveats.
The tech improvements are identical to those of the RS5-R 2018: new ECU, intake, exhaust and cooling raise the power from 450 to 530 metric horsepower (444 to 523 hp; 331 to 390 kW, respectively). The torque simultaneously goes up from 600 to 680 Nm (443 to 502 lb-ft).
As a result, the coupe hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds instead of 3.9 and maxes out at 300 km/h (186 mph). The new speed limit only applies to the models fitted with carbon-ceramic brakes.
Options include stiffer suspension (including, but not limited to, KW coilovers), carbin fiber interior décor, and wheels coming in 20 and 21 inches. The power boost costs €9,670, and water-based cooling adds another €1,452. Regular shortened springs (-25mm ride height) will set you back €926, while coilovers (-10…-35 mm) come in at €2,329. Stabilizers add €770 to the check, and the body kit costs €7,875. Wheels range from €3,752 to €6,033.
