Bentley building a luxury scyscraper with a car elevator in Miami

Bentley is constructing a large apartment house in Miami, which will take four years to complete, rise to 228 meters (748 feet) and have 61 floors. Four special vehicle elevators will carry cars to garage slots present on every floor.

You read that correctly: every single apartment in the complex has its own, dedicated garage on the same floor with it, letting residents to drive straight into the elevator, rise to their floor, drive in to the garage and exit straight into the apartment. The innovative elevators are called Dezervators after the company that designed them, Dezer Development.

The system uses RFID tag scanning technology to recognize cars allowed inside the complex. Once recognized, it will automatically determine the floor and apartment number, call an elevator and illuminate the route to it. Drivers do not need to do anything as extreme as putting their hand out the window once: everything is done automatically.

The public spaces in the building feature see-through walls with picturesque views opening from the heights. Depending on the apartment type chosen, the garage can be either 106 or 144 square meters large (126 or 172 square yards, respectively). This is typically enough for three or four cars, although each elevator can only carry one car at a time. EVs benefit from a preinstalled charger.

As you would expect, luxury on this scale does not come cheap. If you hurry and buy an apartment right now, you may be able to get one for 4,200,000 USD – and that’s the bare minimum.
