BMW has facelifted the new M4 alongside the main 4-Series, giving the top Competition spec another 20 horsepower (15 kilowatts).
This means that the all-wheel-drive coupe and convertible now send 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW) to the wheels. Other than that, the scope of improvements is the same as the normal 4-Series.
The peak torque rises to 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) in the new version, but BMW quotes the same sprint times as before. The coupe still needs 3.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill and maxes out at 290 km (180 mph) with the optional driver’s pack installed.
The previously available 480-PS and 510-PS variants are still on sale and do not get any extra performance.
