Dähler gets around to tuning the facelifted BMW X4 M40i

It has been a while since we last mentioned Swiss tuner Dähler in our news, but the company has just come out with a 430-PS power upgrade for the latest BMW X4 M40i.

In its factory guise, the coupe-like crossover makes do with 360 PS (355 hp / 272 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque – not bad, but counts as entry-level by the Bavarian manufacturer’s standards. With a relatively simple ECU tune, Dähler manages to lift these figures to 410 PS (404 hp / 302 k@) and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft) of torque.

Paying extra gets you a Stage II tune with 430 PS (424 hp / 316 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque. Modified like this, the X4 sprints 100-200 km/h (62-124 mph) a half of a second faster than stock.

Customers may also opt for a custom exhaust system with a valve for fine-tuning the sound, lowered suspension and in-house-designed wheels. Dähler offers a choice between CDC1 and CDC2 sets sized from 20 to 22 inches large.
