German tuner duo elevates BMW XM to supercar killer status

Famous BMW specialist G-Power enlisted the assistance of Mansory for its latest take on the petrol-electric BMW XM. Aside from a major power boost and flashy new wheels, it ended up with a sleek carbon-fiber body kit.

There’s no mistaking Mansory aero, and the SUV wears the full package at once. There are front bumper air intake shrouds, a hand-crafted hood, flared wheel arches, a rear wing and a diffuser, just to name the highlights. 23-inch Hurricane RR wheels fill out the arches snugly thanks to lowered suspension.

While the exterior of the XM has always been a polarizing topic, its technical prowess is more or less universally acknowledged. G-Power takes things further here with a boost program to 950 PS (937 hp / 700 kW) and 1,400 Nm (1,033 lb-ft) of torque. That’s 200 horsepower (149 kilowatts) and 400 Newton-meters (295 pound-feet) above stock.

The company never provided any acceleration figures, but mentioned that the bulky and heavy SUV can now attain 300 km/h (186 mph) no problem. This puts it on par with the likes of Aston Martin DBX and Lamborghini Urus.

Those on a budget may consider less extreme boost options promising 850 PS (838 hp / 625 kW) and 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW). G-Power says it is still developing a flagship package with 1,000 PS (985 hp / 735 kW), so that one may be the one to look forward to as well. It will come bundled with the tuner’s own Deeptone performance exhaust.
