Buick Electra-X Concept previews a coupe-like SUV due out in 2024

Buick has introduced an all-electric crossover named the Electra-X, which previews the marque’s latest car design for China complete with a 30-inch display inside and the full General Motors SuperCruise assist package. The production remains scheduled for 2024.

Unless you consider the unusual quartet of seats inside, the car actually looks like a pre-production sample. It lacks b-pillars and sports a sunroof spanning nearly the entire top. The sleek body outlines serve to highlight its agility and performance, with aerodynamically shaped 21-inch wheels enhancing the impression further. Video cameras instead of side mirrors and flush door handles round off the high-tech, low-drag exterior.

Inside, the 30-inch infotainment display offers a 6K resolution with extreme pixel density and a color gamut spanning over a billion of shades. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, it combines multimedia and digital cockpit features in one package. The system supports 5G, OTA updates and voice control. You can simply tell the car to adjust HVAC, your seat or the ambient lighting.

Rounding off the feature set of the Electra-X Concept is the iKey, a digital key fob that lets you use your smartphone to lock and unlock your car.

The rest of the parameters remain to be revealed.
