The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is a special car in more ways that just being a limited edition. It is also Cadillac’s most powerful production car in history, and the manufacturer assembles each turbocharged V8 for it by hand. But how agile is it compared to the competition? YouTuber Sam CarLegion compares it against a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
For the drag strip, the two look deceptively similar in paper. The Challenger inches out a power advantage with its 717 PS (707 hp / 530 kW) and 881 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque, but it is also heavier at 2,012 kg (4,435 pounds). In turn, the CT5-V Blackwing has 677 PS (668 hp / 498 kW) and 893 Nm (659 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal. It is a fair bit lighter at 1,870 kg (4,123 lbs).
And then there is the transmission. The Challenger SRT Hellcat runs on auto, while the CT5-V is manual.
Which one will you bet on?
