Changan Lamore bows in China

The Chery Arrizo 8 (see video) has a new rival on the market now: the Changan Lamore, a similarly sized sedan with similar specs and pricing. The sales in China will begin in the first months of 2023, the company says.

The Changan Lamore features pull-out door handles, a bezel-free front grille, 18-inch wheels and a rear spoiler, although the latter detail is reserved for the highest trims only.

Inside, a digital dashboard and a vertical infotainment screen are the first things that draw attention. The multimedia system supports gesture controls, and the car monitors the driver’s attention at all times.

Propulsion comes from a 1.5-liter four-pot turbo rated at 170 PS (168 hp / 125 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is a seven-speed DCT. A new top spec will join the lineup later on, Changan says.
