When Chery unveiled an electric coupe named iCar GT this spring (see video), the company highlighted that it could go into production – but not necessarily in that form. Rewind to present day, and CarNewsChina has unearthed a patent application for a car closely based on that concept – but with four doors instead of two.
The car preserves its futuristic appearance but looks much simpler than the original. It looks sporty and dynamic with a particularly noticeable roof spoiler and T-shaped headlights.
A closer look reveals air intakes in the hood and the front bumper, video cameras instead of side mirrors and the rear plate reading ‘TI 01’, which may or may not be the production name.
