Chery’s Tiggo X primes for production

Although the Chery Tiggo X attended the Auto China show as a concept, it is nonetheless bound for production soon, and is considered the marque’s new flagship.

Technical details are scarce at the moment. Judging by the photos alone, the vehicle is over five meters (118 inches) long. At the same time, it only has four seats inside. The exterior design comes across as rather conservative, with lots of fine details and embellishments that most Chinese automakers of today don’t bother with. We suppose that’s how Chery wants to set the model aside as a new luxury offering.

Inside, a trio of displays spans nearly the entire width of the dash. The rear seat occupants get a ceiling-mounted screen along with drop-down tables. As for the powertrains, the local media speculate that there will be ICE and hybrid options to choose from when the Tiggo X finally goes on sale. Such common luxury SUV features as adaptive suspension and AWD are also high up the expectation list.
