One-off Chevrolet Corvette Targa crops up on sale

A unique 2005 Chevrolet Corvette rebuilt around all-new Targa bodywork is up for grabs on Bring a Trailer right now, sitting at $28,000 with one day left on the clock.

It’s known as the Anteros Targa Coupe and is a project of California-based tuner N2A (“No Two Alike”). True to its creator’s motto, the car features all-new body panels that make it look unrecognizable as a Corvette – if anything, it resembles certain Italian classics a little bit. Round headlamps and classy dual-five-spoke wheels round off the sleek look.

The interior makes use of a new two-tone leather trim, a climate control system and an aftermarket CD player, if little else of note. A look under the hood reveals an LS2 V8 still sending its standard 405 PS (400 hp / 298 kW) to the rear end via a six-speed manual gearbox. A limited-slip differential helps with the cornering, and the listing also mentions multiple suspension and brake upgrades.

With just around 24,100 km (15,000 miles) of use on it, the ‘Vette is allegedly in great condition. It’s worth pointing out that it fetched $57,000 back in 2020, but it remains to be seen whether it can match that price tag six years later.
