A few months ago, German tuner ABT Sportsline announced an all-around tuning package for the Cupra Terramar. It is now available for ordering, so let’s take a closer look.
The SUV that the company worked with came equipped with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine originally rated at 265 PS (261 hp / 195 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. Once tuned through largely software means, it went up to 325 PS (321 hp / 239 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. As a result, the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time went down to 5.9 seconds.
To have something to show for your engine tuning, ABT suggests an attractively priced black plastic aero kit and a set of matching 21-inch wheels. The interior stays largely untouched, although the tuner’s official website lists some minor upgrades like new steering wheel stalks and engine start button.
Prices in Germany start from €2,759 for a complete wheel set and €2,990 for the engine tune. As for the body kit, you’ll be better off checking individual prices with ABT because there may be a discount on buying the whole package as opposed to individual parts.
