A vivid yellow limo that once was a Ferrari 360 Modena is up for sale in California right now with considerable mileage, less-than-ideal looks and no info on condition. Whoever buys it will likely have to invest extra into bringing it back on the road.
The car has been stretched to accommodate several more seats, but taller people will struggle to make themselves comfortable – it’s about as cramped as the original 360, no taller ceiling or anything. The added custom bodywork looks solid, but inevitably means there’s more weight for the engine to lug around.
Speaking of which, the listing mentions that the stock 3.6-liter, naturally aspirated V8 is still in place, but doesn’t reveal its condition or output. Back in the early 2000s when it was still stock, it produced 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW). With more than 50,000 kilometers (30,000 miles) on the clock, it could be less now.
The driver’s part of the cabin is largely standard except for a few added switches and an intercom. The rest of the interior isn’t shown, but a Modena limo that looked exactly the same went on sale in 2018 with multiple TVs inside, a multichannel audio system and rich interior illumination.
It was posted with an asking price of U.S. $95,000 back then, but the sale apparently never happened. The current listing is accompanied by photos where the car looks dirty, scratched and dented in places, so we suppose asking for a discount would be only fair.
