This be-tracked Ford F-150 Raptor aspires to climb a mountain

The Ford F-150 is a crowd favorite for a reason: it feels quite at home away from trodden paths, and the Raptor variant is even better in this regard. However, some drivers just seem physically unable to leave good enough alone.

Weston Champlin is one of such drivers. He says his ambition is to climb a mountain behind the wheel of his F-150. To state the gravity of his intentions straight away, he took off the wheels and put small tank tracks in their place – not actually military-grade tracks, but rather something you would see on a warehouse loader.

In the 10-minute video, the proud owner takes his ride out to town for a snack and a chat with the locals. Predictably enough, many people stop and take out their phones to take photos, and even a police officer is impressed with the build, calling it ‘badass’. An ambulance crew even proposes a street race – just kidding, no doubt, but still.

The truck then crosses a shallow stream and scratches the wheel wells with the tracks. While certainly annoying, this is a relatively quick and simple fix.
