Ford F-150 Raptor gains new strengths as a six-wheel truck

Hennessey Performance has unveiled its most hardcore take on the Ford F-150 yet, landing the pickup with three driven axles and 558 PS (550 hp / 410 kW).

The company says their version of the truck benefits from a full-fledged 6WD system and a 3-inch (76mm) increase in ground clearance. It also runs on larger 20-inch wheels shod in 37-inch tires and takes advantage of six-piston brake calipers.

The truck bed is 80 cm (32 inches) longer now and has 45% more cargo capacity than before. The engine block is an EcoBoost V6 3.5, but the rest has been rebuilt from scratch using Hennessey and other aftermarket components. As a result, the crank receives the 550 U.S. horsepower mentioned above along with up to 911 Nm (672 lb-ft) of torque. We’ve seen more impressive numbers from Hennessey on many occasions, but this project obviously prioritizes overlanding performance over highway acceleration.

The hardcore 2023 Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 starts just under U.S. $400,000 – the donor truck is included in the price, but the options will set you back more than that.
