Check out a single-cab Ford F-150 Raptor R

Single-cab trucks aren’t considered fashionable these days, which is unfortunate because there is still a solid demand for them. For instance, Ford doesn’t offer its F-150 Raptor R with fewer than two seat rows. PaxPower decided to fill in the gap, proving to everyone that such a truck can look cool and run fast, too.

Only three units have been produced so far. Two will soon be handed over to the client who ordered the project and one will be exhibited at PaxPower’s office for everyone to see. You can order a similar conversion, but it will involve negotiating a custom price.

Which is unsurprising, since the scope of work is astounding. The company shortens the cab and the wheelbase by nearly a whole meter (3 feet). As a result, the truck loses a whopping 770 kilos (1,700 pounds) of weight. Much of the bodywork and trim comes from the official Raptor catalog, but the side panels in particular need cutting before they can fit the new truck. Inside, the steering wheel is new and the driver’s seat boasts enhanced lateral support.

The stock 5.0-liter V8 gets assistance from a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger for 786 PS (775 hp / 564 kW) total. Thanks to its lower weight and shorter drivetrain, PaxPower’s Single Cab Raptor R should be able to sprint 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in roughly 3.5 seconds. The actual times remain to be measured, though.
