The Ford Truckle (“truck” plus “buckle”, get it?) is a cool $200 clothing accessory that boasts an engraving depicting a 1975 Ford F-150 and contains a niche for your key fob so you can tuck it in there instead of your pocket.
The anniversary buckle celebrates Ford’s most iconic pickup truck – the F-150 – turning 50 years old this year. It features a design by Cut Above Buckles, a small Utah-based engraving workshop owned by Andy Andrews, a former rodeo star and big fan of all things Wild West.
A small indentation on the inner side of the accessory lets you carry your fob key around everywhere so you don’t misplace or forget it, Ford claims. Keyless entry and engine start still function just fine with the thing locked in.
Since Ford uses the same universal key fob design across much of its vehicle range, this means that Mustang and Bronco owners can use the Truckle just as well as those driving an F-150. The company claims that the first batch was sold out in an instant, but another one is coming soon.
