Ford has unveiled the all-electric Mustang Lithium EV at the recently opened Las-Vegas auto show. The car has been co-designed with Webasto and packs a unique 800-volt battery array capable of outputting 1,000,000 Watts of power.
Two Phi-Power electric engines equipped with dual power invertors produce 912 PS (900 hp, 671 kW) along with 1,356 Nm (1,000 pound-feet) of torque. The drive is on the rear axle, and gear switching is six-speed manual. The battery capacity and range remain undisclosed, unfortunately, as are the acceleration times.
The Ford Mustang Lithium EV rides on lightweight Forgeline rims shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. It sports a hood cover with a couple see-through windows, a rear diffuser, side splitters, lowering springs, six-piston Brembo brakes in the front (the same as on the Shelby GT350R), and Ford Performance limited-slip differential axles.
