It is only natural that muscle cars would be the most popular in North America, but that doesn’t mean there are no exceptions. One such exception comes in the shape of this particularly evil-looking Ford Mustang from the South African Republic.
Appropriately dubbed ‘The Black Death’, the ride packs a 6.7-liter supercharged V8 tuned by Proformance Unlimited. A five-speed manual transmission by Tremec hits the wheels with around 800 horsepower (600 kilowatts) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. Powerful Wilwood brakes ensure proper deceleration.
The suspension is also far from stock, now featuring wishbones and McPherson struts, as well as a 230mm (9”) differential. Ride height is adjustable thanks to coilovers.
The cabin of the RWD beast features a safety cage, Recaro seats, and a dashboard with Velocity gauges. The center console is custom-made, and the rear seat row hasn’t gone anywhere – after all, this restomod is a daily driver and not a garage queen.
