The Radar RD6 is an electric pickup for China, here are some of its specs

Geely announced an all-electric pickup truck named Radar RD6 last month, and is now following up with dimensions and other parameters mostly pertaining to the affordable base spec. Sales in China will begin later this year.

The RD6 features a unitized body installed over the SEA chassis also utilized by the corporation’s other EV marque. Zeekr. The whole truck is 5,260 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,830 mm tall with 3,120 mm between the axles. The battery resides under the floor of the cabin part.

Marketed towards active leisure enthusiasts, the pickup will only ship with a four-door cab and a fixed bed size: length – 1,525 mm, volume – 1,200 liters. With a curb weight around 2,090 kilograms, it can transport another 755 kilos in the bed.

More storage space can be found under the hood – which is actually a front trunk, since this is an EV – and behind the rear seats. The bed has four 220V power sockets, and you can specify OEM options like a portable fridge or an audio system.

The first spec to ship will be driven by a single rear-axle-mounted electric motor with 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) of power at its disposal. The battery will store 86 kilowatt-hours of energy. Dual-motor specs will join the lineup later, and a long-range modification will come out in the future offering more than 600 km (373 miles) of uninterrupted driving.
