The Honda-Dongfeng joint enterprise in China will produce the next generation of its Inspire sedan on the same underpinnings as the latest Accord (see video) with only cosmetic changes.
These include a new radiator grille, different bumpers and revised taillights. The rest of the bodyworks and the headlights stay unchanged.
The interior is also identical to the donor except for the separate air vents (there is no more mesh in them like before). Finally, the new Inspire for China offers buttons for gear selection.
It is unknown what engines the rebadged car will ship with, but one of the photos focuses on the badge that says ‘e:PHEV’. The Accord already has such an option, and it makes 207 PS (204 hp / 152 kW) along with 335 Nm (247 lb-ft) of torque.
