Honda S2000 turns into a 580-PS coupe

Japanese car specialists over at Blulletproof Automotive have finished their BP25 project that they referred to as the “pinnacle of their craft.” Working with a Honda S2000 roadster, they have rebuilt its body and chassis and turbocharged the 2.0-liter four-pot to deliver as much as 580 PS (572 hp / 427 kW).

No prices have been released, but the company says the production quantity will be limited because the car is dedicated to its 25th anniversary in car business. To ensure that the BP25 feels special, the tuner installed a Vortech turbocharger, an intercooler, new fuel nozzles, a titanium exhaust system and a custom ECU, just to mention a few. The engine revs up to 10,000 RPM and delivers its peak power at 9,300 RPM.

A six-speed manual transmission with a heavy-duty clutch and a short-throw lever sends the torque to the wheels. Top Secret coilovers and other modern suspension components ensure a smooth ride, while proper deceleration is handled by six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes. Last but not least, this particular S2000 has braces and struts all around to make its body as stiff as possible.

On the outside, the car now wears a permanent-looking hardtop and a full Varis Dark Panther body kit. There are new bumpers, fender flares, a vented hood, an impressive rear wing and a slew of smaller aero parts. A peek inside reveals Recaro seats, a Mugen steering wheel and predominantly Alcantara trim.
